Peter and Iko, along with their two teenagers, live in the town of Matsudo in Chiba. Peter and Iko have been missionaries to Japan since 1985, first with Send International and more recently as tentmakers (i.e., on their own). Jane has known Peter since Summer 1980, when the two of them worked as camp counselors at Camp Good News on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
We saw Peter and Iko the day before we were due to fly back to the States, attending church with them (they are members of International Bible Fellowship, a bi-lingual Japanese and English church in Matsudo) and then having a delicious lunch of sandwiches, salad, watermelon, and cherries at their house. What a great way to cap a great vacation!
