Miwako is a Japanese girl (anyone who's younger than us is either a girl or a guy!) whom Jane has known since graduate school in 1996, and the two of them are very good friends. On our second day in Tokyo, we met Miwako's parents, aunt, and older sister, and they took us sightseeing all over the city, visiting various places in Shinjuku, Hamamatsucho, and Asakusa.

And at the end of the rickshaw ride we saw the Olympic Flame building, so named because the yellow object on top of the black building is supposed to be the Olympic flame (according to Mitch's rickshaw driver/runner, the Olympic flame was designed to stand straight up, not lie down on its side!)
