A small town located in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Noboribetsu Onsen (not to be confused with the town of Noboribetsu, which is but 6 kilometers away) is the largest hot spring town on the island of Hokkaido. The main attractions of Noboribetsu Onsen include Jigokudani (aka "Hell Valley", where the hot springs waters originate from) and Dai-Ichi Takimotokan (a famous hotel that offers 30 hot spring baths).

A close-up of the toilet's control panel. With this baby you can control how hot the toilet seat will get, turn on the backside washer, turn on the woman's washer, and control how much water is used when you flush the toilet.

The interesting thing is that the two Japanese houses that we visited (i.e., houses of friends of Jane who are Japanese) also had these fancy toilet control panels, so we're going to look into how much it would cost to purchase, ship, and install one in our master bathroom!
